With a lower Centre of gravity than our other dining tables, Omega conveys a sense of reassuring solidity. There is in its compact structure a suggestion perhaps of a forest canopy, or dancers reaching to one another with their outstretched arms. Both are apt for a piece that’s all about the primal communal experience of sharing food together. Viewed another way, Omega brings to mind a circus tent, and there’s the same kind of anticipatory thrill about its clever design.
